Networking is a tool in which we use when we are wanting to often market ourselves for some purpose. Today, I ask that you market yourself for others. Introduce yourself and your involvement within the community. Maybe you are gay and are looking for activities to get involved in, maybe you are gay and are just looking for other gay friends in your area, maybe you are heterosexual and know of businesses that are friendly... whatever it may be, blog about it in hopes of making a difference in someone else's life. Let us all become friends through what you post here today. Who knows, some great friendships could come out of this.

As Chris says, this is a great venue in which to introduce ourselves. I'm straight, senior, and write about ending poverty and war. I support civil rights for all, including my friends and loved ones in the LGBT community, because everyone deserves respect.

In my first essay collection, "The World I Imagine: A creative manual for ending poverty and building peace," I wrote about civil rights for LGBT in the section entitled "Civil Rights and Religion." My next book, "Keep on Imagining: Spreading the wings of peace," will feature my article debunking every argument against gay marriage that conservatives lean on. And I'll keep on writing about civil rights for everyone as long as my fingers and brain keep working.

You can learn about my work for peace and prosperity for all at my website: www.imaginetheworldatpeace.com. May you hold the Spirit of this Season of Peace in your hearts into the New Year and beyond!

I look forward to working with all of you as we make our community more inviting and inclusive for all!

Much Love,
